Tel Aviv and the Mediterranean Sea

Met new friends, old friends

So our first real day in Israel started when we boarded the plane in New Jersey at 9 PM. We would be flying for 10 hours and landing in Tel Aviv at 2:30 this afternoon. We were served dinner and then breakfast and I must say, Wynn slept better than I did. It is no fun to be in the middle seat. Plus I was concerned that I needed to get up every two hours and walk. I think the compression socks were a good bye. So I am going to apologize in advance for some of my pictures being upside down and sideways. I have run into a glitch in some of my uploading here. I’ve tried everything to get them to straighten out but maybe were just all topsy-turvy today. Here is a map of our trip that we kept checking in as the hours flew by and we saw a purpleish sunrise. Very pretty.

Ben Gurion airport is pretty spectacular but it has very long lines to get in to get your luggage. Once we got everyone collected, we were ready to board our bus and meet our tour guide
Our tour guide is named Mickey. He said IKEA is the biggest store in Israel and we happen to see it on the way to our hotel. We are staying at a place called West Lagoon resort in the town of Netanya. What a beautiful lobby, the rooms are gorgeous, and the buffet dinner was amazing.
Saw these 2 sites as we drove along. Then before dinner, we threw on our water shoes and ran down to see the sun setting into the Mediterranean Sea. We saw a few surfers, gathered a few shells, and took a few pictures. Great way to work the kinks out after a long plane ride. And what a beautiful sunset we were treated to. What an amazing canvas!
So until tomorrow, I will say good night.
