So we had a mouse in our room last night! Such a cute little fellow and no, I didn't scream! The skies were overcast this morning.

Today we traveled 61 miles with 1,103 climbing feet. Wynn rode all 61 miles and I rode the first 22 miles before taking over the SAG. By the way, SAG stands for Support and Gear in case you were wondering. We left the Hart Hotel at 8:30am and headed toward our first stop. On the way we saw an old church that was built in town and then the roads were built around it so it looked like it was in the middle of the road. Not anymore, but I thought it was an interesting story.

Medina Falls was the first falls of the day and was very pretty. We also saw the Northern Most point of the canal.

67% of our trail was gravel today so we got dusty. Here are a few shots of our group along the path. With this big of a group, there is always someone to talk to. It is fun to make new connections.

We rode through Albion and then ended our second SAG in Holley. The sign there said Podunk which made me laugh. We also saw a beautiful waterfall in Holley.

I took over the SAG responsibilities in Holley. The group rode through Brockport and we were told to look up the 1936 Murder Dog Trial.

The next stop was Spencerport Depot and Canal Museum. We ate lunch there by the canal.

Pittsford was our next stop where supposedly the “best ice cream parlor on the Erie Canal” is located. We went to the Dairy and did indeed enjoy the ice cream. Then it was onto our hotel in Fairport. We are staying in the Hilton Garden Inn.

Dinner tonight was at the Faircraft Brahmans where we had some excellent German food. I had the Bratwurst with peppers and onions and a potato pancake which reminded me of Jorn's potato cakes when he lived with us. It was excellent. Wynn had the schnitzel and a macaroni salad. I regret to say that I totally forgot to take pics this evening. Maybe I can get from the others tomorrow and include a few tomorrow night.

back in the room now and watching Fritz/ Berretini match before drifting off to sleep. We leave early again tomorrow and are praying for another rain free day! Keep pedaling…

Love following you as I do my morning walks! Mouse is cute, love the scenic tour, but what’s the meaning of the towels? 🧐. Until tomorrow…
