Well we slept right through the end of the Boston/Yankees game, but I understand that Brian is to be congratulated on the win by his Red Socks. We woke up early and once again packed up the van to get on the road. I had a fueling and Wynn took part in the continental breakfast provided. We were on the road for our Lighthouse adventure by 8:30am. We had our list plugged into the GPS and headed out optimistic that they would be easy to find. Well…the first one that was suppose to lead us to Stage Harbor Light, took us to some private driveways with little space to turn around. Thankfully Wynn is a good backer upper. We decided to go to the next one and as we rounded a curve in the road, I saw Stage Harbor Light off to the right. Wynn found a space to pull off and ai jumped out of the van and snapped a couple of pics from across the way. Long distance, but still able to see it. The first pic was where our directions took us…

The second light was much easier to find. We went to see the Chatham Lighthouse located by the Coast guard station. I included the view, the lighthouse and the coast guard boat on site. It seemed like all of them are under reno in one way or another. I'm sure it is constant updates.

Lighthouses number 3 and 4 were very close together. The original 3 Sisters lighthouses fell into disarray and I think fell into the sea. They were rebuilt and now sit off in a little field as they we’re replaced by the Nauset Lighthouse. Wynn and I found a trail that connected the two so I will include pics of both. We had to think of Kendall, Maddie and Eliana and actually started singing the 3 sisters song when we were at the 3 lighthouses. The First pic shows all three lighthouses.

Highland Lighthouse was the next on the way up to the point. It was set on a beautiful property with a golf course, Inn and lovely view of the water. It was also under construction so I took a picture of the finished lighthouse projection.
Now Long Point Lighthouse took us to MacMillan Wharf and we never did find it from the shore. I guess it was a 3 mile hike out on a jetty.
Here's a pic I stole off the internet…lol we did see a Memorial to the Pilgrims while like for the lighthouse.
Now bear with me as I post pics from this next lighthouse…Race Point Light. I think we were in the middle of a desert. We walked an hour one way in the deep sand to find this one. Oh how I wish I was driving an off-road vehicle. I wore a lovely blister on my right ankle before taking off my shoes (sorry, Andre) But it was worth the hike! We finally found it, and on the way, we spotted a couple of groups of seals frolicking in the surf. I have to include some of those pics. Wynn and I were so proud of ourselves to make the 4 mile trek in a little over 2 hours. We were too whipped to ride the bike trail…and that's saying something for Wynn. The last picture of the pile of sand as what we poured out of our shoes when we got back to the van.

Finally after guzzling some liquid, we made it to our last destination, Wood End Lighthouse. I was too tired to hike this one but we did get a pretty good shot. We also thought we saw a Sea Monster, but I guess it was only a swimmer trying to scuba dive…looked pretty awkward to me.
so now we are driving the 3 hours to get to our next hotel in Somerville, just north of Boston. We are staying at a LaQuinta for the next two night. No hot breakfast again. Not that it matters to me, but I know Wynn wants something different from pastries. We should arrive a bit after 5pm and the next order of business is finding someone to eat supper. Tomorrow is a city day. It is suppose to be good weather and we hope to walk the Freedom Trail through Boston.
