Julie was our hostess this morning and made us a wonderful hot breakfast. I had a veggie omelet and Wynn had a variety like a farmer's breakfast. It was a fun group of people we met. There were only 5 or 6 rooms in this bed and breakfast and everyone was so nice. We packed up early and left around 9am for the day. We drove to the parking lot across from the Breakers and took our Cliff walk. It was quite rigorous in places and we walked around 6 miles. I took a million pics but I will try to keep myself in check. You’ll have to come visit if you want to see them all…

I was pretty tired at the end of the walk, but we still were planning on bike riding Ocean Drive. I included a couple of pics from Newport Harbor. (Very windy there) We drove and parked at Fort Adams State Park where we unloaded our bikes. I went and got a couple of pics of the old sailing ship and then the bridge into Newport! We were glad that the bikes made the trip without any harm. I rode my e-bike and Wynn rode his old faithful. It was a ten mile ride of absolute beauty and of crazy beach houses, I should say mansions. We saw Jay Leno's compound and many others we did not know who owned them. I loved riding with the spray and sound of the ocean!

Once we finished and had the bikes packed away, we went into the fort and got some yummy hot chocolate…hit the spot for sure! Then we punched in the next hotel's address and drove the 1 hour 45 minutes into Cape Cod, MA. We are staying in a little cottage at a family resort called Veranda in South Yarmouth. It is quaint and clean and right on Rt 28. We found a place to eat just a mile down the road called Hearth and Kettle and we had a lovely meal. Wynn is finally getting to eat as much fish as he wants and I am finding other lean and greens to enjoy. We did split a petite dessert tonight! .

Now we are back at our room, getting ready to plan our lighthouse trip around the cape tomorrow. It is suppose to be sunny and in the 70's. So day 3 comes to a close. Biking, hiking and rock climbing(not really) has Wynn and Me ready for an early bedtime, hoping we won't be too sore to get out of bed in the morning. Good night to all…

Looks like you are seeing some lovely places – the beauty shows through even on an overcast day. And we know you are having a fun time just being together and going places…

Thanks for sharing your trip!
